FAQ’s

  • Majority of the time we will not be able to start until the contracted date. If we happen to have earlier availability, we will happily assist you sooner.

  • I believe 4-5 days a week allows enough consistency to promote an environment for nighttime sleep. Out of those days I highly recommend scheduling 3 days in a row for me to implement sleep strategies and create habits. Example of a popular schedule is Sun/Mon/Tue/Thurs/Fri.

  • No, I rest when the baby rests. Clients desiring awake care will pay a higher rate at $75/hr.

  • Unfortunately, no. There are so many unknown factors like reflux, lactose/dairy allergies, adjusted age, plagiocephaly, the list goes on. I can guarantee that I will demonstrate and execute my skills to the best of my ability to promote sleep.

  • A contract and paid deposit are required to secure your spot and activate my services once your baby is born.

  • That’s OK! Some families prefer 8-8, or 9-9.I personally find those bedtimes a bit late, and you’ll often run into some witching hours because the baby becomes overtired. With that said, I’m here to support whatever schedule works best for your family.

  • A NCS can still be an asset even if you plan on having baby in your room to breastfeed. Breastfeeding can take between 15-30 minutes. Burping, changing diaper, re-swaddling, and holding up right after feed can take an additional 30-45 minutes. That’s a good time for mom to rest while I handle everything else.

  • It’s rare, but it does happen! Contract will stay in place, and I will continue working through to the end date. Many times, I can work on things like taking babies hands out of the swaddle or completely getting rid of pacifier use.

  • Outside of the unknowns listed above... It is extremely important that parents follow a daytime schedule for feeds and naps. Also, babies are sleepy which causes them not to have great feeds in the beginning. If parents don’t ensure their baby is getting a full feed, that can attribute to baby not sleeping.
